Self Awareness Matters…
If we never learn how to self-regulate, or have self-awareness, you will eventually implode or explode. Emotions are normal, I feel like we’ve gotten to a place in society where we strive to suppress emotions rather than learning how to manage them. Our past trauma’s can make us afraid to tap into emotions that surface, so rather than stopping to identify, and clarify we numb/suppress.
Learning healthy ways to cope can allow for room to grow, because sometimes our stagnation is related to our inability to regulate our past emotions. The past emotions remain very present until they are addressed. They show up in our interactions and relationships, how were respond, or don’t… Therapy is an amazing way to safely tap into our past so that it can stop negatively impacting our future. You get an opportunity to navigate emotions. Once you’ve identified and learned skills of self-regulation you can then work with a Life Coach, like myself to build upon that skill set and make forward movement.
