Thank you Village…

I am so grateful for my village.

They show up for me in ways seen and unseen. I’ve often sat and thought, why. Why do these people show up and love on me. Why do they help me when I’ve had nothing to give in return, but thank you. Then I realized that it’s this very thinking that closes the doors on our ability to receive love, to receive blessings. You can remain in gratitude and humility while also feeling that you’re deserving of love, of grace, of peace, of joy, and more… 

I had to put my business and some of my goals down a few years ago because I was not ready to receive love, success, and peace. I craved it all, and I really attempted to reach it but I left the most important piece out. That piece was me. I needed to nurture myself more than any business, any desired successes, any romantic relationships. To learn to care for me has been the greatest success. As I continue to grow in many areas of my life, I know that I could not have gotten to this point without my village. The people who never ask me for anything in return other than to grow up & glow up in my life. I hope for all of us to build our villages. Sometimes it’s family, sometimes its friends, and sometimes its a combination. Whatever and whomever your village consist of, don’t forget to acknowledge them.
